Just recently, reports have come out that starting next Monday, October 8, Ford will stop the production of the F-series Super Duty pickup for two weeks. The reason for the production halt according to Ford is due to the slow sales, caused by the housing slowdown. Ford's sales analyst, George Pipas said stopping the pickup truck’s production is a way to avoid excess inventory. According to him, the said move has not related to the declining sales of Ford pickup trucks by 20.8 percent last September.
